White Topps Hotel - Doggy Accomodation

Marjorie Titchen came here in 1966 when it was a small hotel and by 1980, decided she didn't like everybody. Having worked for animal welfare and dog rescue she decided to take guests with dogs and now meets people she is in tune with, doggy people.

Dogs sleep in the guests' bedrooms, sit in the large lounge and in the dining room as not all dogs are happy left in bedrooms.

Southbourne is about four and a half miles from Bournemouth town centre and a couple of miles from Christchurch. Christchurch is the nearest railway station. The sea is just at the end of the road; about 450 yards and dogs are allowed on the beach at this end of the town all year round. Hengistbury Head is just a short walk away and is a large open space, ideal for dog walking (or take the miniature train). There's also a ferry to Mudeford Quay and a rather nice pub. The New Forest is but a short drive away and is so large you can always find a quiet spot even on the busiest summer day.
